Ok so I'm like apparently one of the few who thinks this is a really really really cool idea. In fact I think its one of the best ideas I've heard about in a long time:
www.cuddleparty.com
Plenty of bloggers are panning this--but I think it's really cool, and can't wait for this trend to hit Portland. Even Freak thinks its cool. Its kind of the spirit of polyamory with the innocence of summer camp, and limits that seem comfortable for a wide range of people. Perfect.
I want to have a cuddle party :) I want a big puppy pile of people in pajamas in my living room . . .
Cuddle party sounds great :) I have done that haphazardly before but never planned.
I have enjoyed your blog so far, can I subscribe without XML syndication?

I have no idea how you subscribe--you could add it to your list of favorites?? I'm pretty new to this blog stuff.
But drop in any time, your posts and comments are welcome.
I think the world would be a much better place if groups of friends allowed themselves to touch each other, to love each other more freely. Other cultures are often so much more touchy-feely than ours and its really shame that we've lost the importance of connection.

Indeed, our puritan foundations limit what we can consider "normal" relations between people. We are all alive and connected, and that is beautiful. It was so strange walking around Paris, the people actually looked at you and weren't afraid or ashamed to. It was so novel to me for a beautiful woman to look at me, check me out, look me straight in the eyes and smile. It was the rule more than the exception (which was the metro system).
Being the weirdo that I am, I decided to ignore social protocol in public places. I talk to everyone, and ask them meaningful questions. In my journal I write about these conversations at times. I think that our 5 minutes on the bus has more depth than most of their relationships, it is strange to see how some people cling to anything real in our consumerist world.
Yes to cuddles!
