If your bank account has no meaning for you, send it to Ol' Hoss. I will pray to it daily, until it's gone.

I think that what you're doing is just perfect. I am the very same way. Furniture is made to be used. Clothing is made to be worn and enjoyed. And I think the things that are valuable to you like your art is what will be valueable to your progeny. So no worries, you're doing just fine.

Yes, but I spend so much time on the computer or playing with my kids that sometimes the folded clothes just sit in the laundry basket, and the drawers are empty. I've gone through that - if I buy this it will make me organized - syndrome, but all of the books and bins and boxes are to no avail!

Yup, that's me too. I buy so much stuff to keep my stuff organized but the organizing stuff becomes stuff too, especially when it doesn't go as planned. Things purchased in the last six months that fall into this category: An over the sink cutting board/veggie drainer (more trouble than it's worth), a number of really pretty organizing boxes and tins (still empty), a dresser picked up for $10 at a yard sale (still empty), two different small desks, and some desk organizers (not exactly using), and some wall folders for my office (great for the permanent paper collection). Ah such is life :)
